Bob Woodruff Reports:
After his injury, a month in a coma, and a year of intensive rehabilitation, Bob returned to the air in February of 2007 with the hour-long special "To Iraq and Back," documenting his recovery and the experiences of other soldiers who have returned from the war with traumatic brain injury.
Determined to keep the nation focused on issues important to veterans and their families, Woodruff has followed up the special with continued reports on the challenges facing wounded soldiers once they return home, as well as the struggles their families face as they adapt to life with a severely injured loved one. Woodruff keeps the pressure on the Veterans Administration by continuing to cover the problems veterans encounter with administrative red tape when they try to seek the treatment they deserve, and the tragic consequences that can result.
